Dandelions belong to a diverse family whose members are difficult to identify. The above illustration is of a range of seeds collected from different dandelion like flowers. The feathery seed parachutes have been removed, leaving the seeds themselves which range from courgette to cucumber shapes but with rough rows of nodules or grooves depending on type.
