Description:Travelling up from Cambridge towards Hunstanton, we come out of the flat fenland and reach gentle rolling hills. Here, south of Hunstanton lies Castle Rising, worth a visit on its own. A row of pine trees line the orange dirt road leading to the Castle entrance, their slightly twisted trunks and bushy green growns are shadowed by the winter sun onto the large defensive earthworks that hide the Castle from immediate view. |
