Description:

The yellow stainer looks not dissimilar to the Horse mushroom, the latter being edible. The stainers however are poisonous but only to some individuals. Fortunately, they can be readily identified by the yellow staining (hence the name) when they are bruised or cut on the cap or the stem base.
