Description:Coming out of the Dell Garden and you can hear the sound of the Bressingham Steam Roundabout. Approaching you see the brightly coloured horses rising and falling majestically in time with the music as they circle clockwise. You go up the three steps around the roundabout to reach your steed. The operator starts the ride and you circle slowly at first. Looking down you see that the pole holding your horse swings outwards slighly at the base so that you lean into your ride. The music is played by the organ with merry clockwork figures and is programmed by large folded punchcards. You half expect to see Mary Poppins in front of you, ready to release the horses to gallop across the countryside. |
