Description:

These negative images show the hind and fore-wing of a bumblebee. the hind wing is on top and is recogniseable by the fine row of hooks on the top edge with which it interlinks with the forewing during flight. The faint silhouette of the wing membrane shows markings due to minute hairs and is interupted by a few bold veins.
