Description:Embedded in the clays of Cambridgeshire are many fossils of small Amoeboceras ammonites. The mineralised shells glisten iridescently and the magnified view shows the delicate interlacing pattern of sutures on the surface. Here the markings look like repeated three toed clawed feet spiralling around the side of the ammonite. |
